Kia ora tatou;
Welcome to our St Francistide animal service at Awesome Church in Pukerua Bay.  Animals were invited to bring their humans to church that day, so here you see Liam, Munro, Emma, Ben, Brianna, Emmerson, Jamie, Sarah and Lincoln worshipping God together.  Awesome Church happens every 4th Sunday of the month at 11am, and is a wonderful growing part of the diverse life of our parish.  Awesome Church is just one of our 12 congregations.Â
As disciples of Christ, we seek to offer worship within the Anglican tradition that is varied in style, uplifting in content, and faithful to the context of the Anglican Church of Aotearoa, New Zealand and Polynesia. Here at the bottom of the North Island of New Zealand, the northern part of Porirua City and part of Wellington Diocese, our parish is committed to being "church of choice, church with choice, church for community" as we share God's love with people around the Pauatahanui Inlet and beyond.
So we welcome you as you make contact with our parish though this website. As Vicar, I am glad that you are interested in what we are doing, and I hope you can find the information you need. We would be delighted if you are able to join us for worship or any of our other activities - with diverse groups such as Woodchoppers, Prayers and Squares, and Breaking Open the Word. You may be welcomed by me, or by one of our other clergy, or by any of the many people in this parish who know themselves to be ministers of the good news because of their baptism. We share in the joys and challenge of welcoming, ministering, and sharing in Christ's work of transforming the world in love. You can begin getting to know us through this website.
Keep the faith - but not just for yourself!
